Water colour aside, Dom Mosqueira’s perspective of Jordy Smith taking off at Chopes, staring down the line of potential, should fill you with all the good feelings you associate with surfing. Jordy looks rather deep from here, almost unmakeably so, but it’s on this note that we’ll recall what Mr Dane Reynolds told Stab yesterday: “I felt like at Teahupoo that was the best tuberiding I’ve ever seen. Every single guy was getting behind the foamball on every wave.” Jordy included.
