Joel Parkinson knifes a 10 at Cloudbreak, Fiji

Joel Parkinson just put on a clinical performance at Cloudbreak. 2015 has hardly been Parko’s best year competitively (he’s currently ranked 20th), but this morning it was obvious what he’s been missing: Good waves. Joel seamlessly rode two waves in his round four heat against Owen Wright and Mick Fanning, both of whom would’ve won most other heats in this event so far with their combined totals of 17.26 and 16.60 respectively. But Parko’s highest scoring ride, the 10, was a huge chunk of windblown South Pacific that opened up for him to draw a perfect line through (above). His back up ride of 8.93 put him firmly in the untouchable zone. And, it was a pleasure to watch. **** Want a little piece of Fiji yourself? You’re in luck. Corona is taking over Namotu Island for seven days and looking for one very, very lucky winner to handpick nine pals and come along for the ride.  You’ll surf til you can’t surf anymore and then drink from an endless supply of icy cold Corona. Life, eh?  To win, just go buy a Corona at selected venues across Australia in June, head here, enter your details and unique product code to get in the mix with a chance to win. ENTER HERE
