Right before the final of the Hurley Pro, Lower Trestles (between Kelly Slater and Owen Wright), an expression session was held, and it was a glimpse into the future. Evan Geiselman (pictured here) and pal Kolohe Andino were among quite a few who took to the waist-high ramps, but the kid from Cali (K–Lo) and the kid from Florida (Ev) were “by far the standouts,” according to Jimmy Wilson, who scooped this sequence. “In that 30 minutes, we got a good glimpse of what the Hurley Pro is going to look like a couple years from now.” The future’s in safe hands, by the looks of things.
