Eli Steele, escape from Bribie Island, QLD

Welcome to Bribie Island, a small isle just south of the Sunshine Coast, where our surfer, Eli Steele, and photographer, Matt O’Brien, recently did a very brief stint. Both men are from the Sunny Coast and were looking to mix it up, with Bribie offering a good change of scenery. “I don’t often head over there as it’s such a pain in the ass to reach the spots that break,” says Matt. “And, it’s kinda sharky.” Hmmm. Perhaps not the world’s most appealing spot. But, the background scenery certainly makes for a nice water shot, and especially when Eli dances with such height.
