Craig Anderson just got back to Australia after spending some time in California, where he scooped a little tear to the rotator cuff, which ain’t excellent, but them’s the breaks when you surf the way Craig does (which is with gusto).
And, before all that happened, he was in his hometown of Newcastle, Australia, surfing and hanging out at the warehouse he rents with three other pals (known as the ‘Whitehouse’). According to Michael Spencer, who shot this image of Craig, the Whitehouse is “one of the funnest places on earth to hang, drink, skate, talk shit, party, etc.”
One of the Whitehouse’s key features is a skate ramp, the one you can see here. And since Craig’s a team player, and a firm believer of pay-to-play, he’s always quick to help out with construction of toys like ramps. So, here’s Mr Anderson, as you’ve probably never seen him, shirtless, manly, driving a reciprocating saw through wood. Shortly after Spence clicked the capture button on this moment, the crew drank beer and skated the ramp, just as they should.
