Bede Durbidge, unideal positioning in an ideal setting, Tahiti

Would you just look at that wave? Bede Durbidge, despite this particularly dramatic (and beautiful) wipeout, won his round two heat at the Billabong Pro, Tahiti this morning over Glenn Hall. The swell had dropped significantly since yesterday’s best-ever conditions, but there were opportunities early… until the wind switched, and things went a little sour.
