Barron Mamiya tucks in and blurs out, North Shore, HI
Late season surf on the North Shore is a treat. With focus split between Aus for the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, and south swell standouts a la Puerto, the North Shore’s springtime glory often goes unnoticed. “We had a nice west pulse with good trade winds here in Hawaii yesterday and today,” recalls photographer Matt Paul Catalano, who spent the mornings shooting Pipe and Backdoor. “Barron was out with Jamie O’Brien and Noah Beschen, Mark Healey, Derek Ho, and a few others last night for the evening session.”
