A Sequence You’ll Love: Mick Fanning Stretches Before A 13 Hour Sit-Down

Au naturel – pre artificial, yesterday at D’Bah.

You’re looking at one half of Team Australia, warming the rails ahead of the Founder’s Cup event at Lemoore.

In a few days Mick Fanning will be on the other side of the globe, bobbing around in waist-high bore water, alongside fellow Oz representative, Joel Parkinson looking to slice up a few of Kelly’s creations and take home the event’s very first trophy.

Yesterday however, it was training day on home turf.

We heard word from various sources that New South Wales’s northernmost stretch has had quality waves over the last few days. The sand is in abundance, stockpiling between D’Bah and Snapper – even creating a novel ride that almost links the two – and Mick, Steph Gilmore and Mitch Crews have been spotted making the most of the conditions.

Local lensman and friend of Stab, Juan Medina, perched up and captured a handful of moments, fired them over. We simply couldn’t look past this wallet drop, featuring the ex-CT vet and his shiny new The Search Rip Curl sticker.
