A Sequence You’ll Love: Lay Days Are For Switch Barrels, John John Florence
A few hours ago at La Grav.
Anything you can do, John can do switch. It’s a lay day at the Quiksilver Pro, but France still has plenty of groomed sand on offer. “The swell didn’t hit until the afternoon, so they couldn’t run the comp,” lensman, Peter King tells Stab. “John, Nathan (Florence) and Koa Smith were bodysurfing the shorepound at La Grav and riding soft tops. Then a couple became rideable.” Kind of hurts when you see someone slide into a deeper, cleaner barrel than most have gotten in their lifetime, switch. Here’s Mr Florence goofing around at La Grav a few hours ago. “He’s looking loose,” PK continues “And, that’s Nathan on the inside cheering for him. Juan Juan says that’s the best switch barrel he’s ever had.”
