Who Gave The Bong Boys A Homemade Lamborghini In Rural Indonesia?
“You’re basically sitting next to the engine and cables with no A/C.”
Yeah… surf trips are cool. Kinda played out at at this point.
You know what’s cooler?
Driving around the craggy streets of Sumatra in a home-cooked Lamborghini — Wolf Of Padang Street style.
So, seeing as an Aventador wasn’t quite in the Billabong budget, Kian Martin and Bronson Meydi convinced a local mechanic to let them joyride his half-baked work of Italian-Indo fusion during their recent outer island mission.
“We were just driving back from the surf one day, and saw the guy building it,” Kian laughs. “Me and Bronson looked at each other and we knew we had to jump in it. He brought it over and let us whip it around. I think it’s built over an old-school Honda, he said it took him a few years to build. He built it by himself at his little service shop.

It was so fun but super old-school. The gear shifts and everything were getting stuck. It was also a bit sweaty in there, you’re basically sitting next to the engine and cables with no A/C. It also had doors that opened upwards, and a super loud muffler.”
Aside from the Frankenstein machinery, the above clip features some Sumatran slicing from Kian, Bronson, SFAH star Jai Glindeman, along with Indonesia’s ex-pat overlord Tai Buddha.
