For a town of 2000, they certainly over-index on young, talented surfers.

Last week, Mathea Olin dropped an incredible clip surfing the frigid and occasionally perfect waves in and around British Columbia. This week, a young fella by the name of Reed Platenius has followed suit.

Reed has a well-rounded repertoire for 17-year old, threading tubes, sticking punts, and laying some good old-fashioned meat and potatoes carves for good measure.

He also does it in a 5mm wettie with gloves and booties, which means he gets an extra 10 bonus points.
