San Diego’s Seaside Reef is no stranger to an enticing left. With high-quality waves on tap, the result is an excess of talent in the Southern Californian surf community. Each set that rolls through has the likely fate of being picked apart by guys like Rob Machado, Joel Tudor, or Zack Flores.
On good days like the one above, you’ll see some exceptional surfing from the beach. Not just standard shortboard wiggling either; all kinds of alternative crafts plague the lineup. The clip above showcases buoyant surf rafts interacting with clean Seaside faces—a tantalizing blend of lift and drive.
