Watch: French Surfing With Limited Pain In Or Near The Ass
Oxbow cuts up an ageless mixtape of Vincent Duvignac getting French oak barrels.
“Let’s be honest, most of the time surfing is a pain in the ass,” says Vincent Duvignac.
Duvi is from Les Landes, France. Les Landes, by the way, has about 100 kilometers of sand butting up against the Atlantic Ocean. It wants ESE wind and it doesn’t dig a swell with a super long period. It contains Hossegor and Capbreton and is responsible for producing 90% of the clips you’ve seen and thought, ‘Hmm, I should go to France.’
The truth is that it’s often a pain in the ass. The good news is that the region is regarded for a certain red (or white, or pink, we don’t judge) beverage that can quickly relieve such an ailment.
For a visitor, it’s a lock for a good time. But for someone from there — what, with 100 km of shifting sands and big fucking tides to figure out — it can truly be a pain in the ass when you’re trying to get things exactly right.
Today, we present you with a bit of a mixtape from Oxbow featuring Vincent getting things exactly right. He’s from Mimizan, a town you prob haven’t heard of but also should consider if you want to avoid the 4.2 million surfers that seem to have surfaced in the area after a virus put the world on hold for a lil while.
Bon app.
