Wanted: The Thief Who Nicked Josh & Sierra Kerr’s Boards From The Volcom House
Srsly tho, what are you gonna do with a wafer-thin 5’7” on the North Shore?
It’s the principle.
Boards break, they come and go, sometimes they are lent to friends with no agreed return date, and this is fine. An unspoken rule of being a surfer is occasionally acting as a charity for the less-than-well-resourced, disorganized salty half-brains among us.
You might apathetically tut ‘Josh and Sierra will be alright’, in response to the sudden disappearance of their six-board quiver from the Volcom house following the VPM final. ‘It’s not like they’re short on foam’.
But you would be simultaneously right and wrong to say that. Right about them being just fine (time heals most scars), wrong by way of indifference to someone’s boards being stolen, for they could just as easily be your missing surfboards.
Wouldn’t that tie a knot in your leash?
Jesus, apparently, coined the Golden Rule – don’t do unto others what you wouldn’t want done to you. If Jesus tears don’t move your moral compass, sub them for Santa Claus, who only visits good boys. If all else fails, perhaps being penned in Kai Borg’s bad books will give you the encouraging prod to get over the line.

The best part is you know exactly where to return them – right where you found them!
