Who is Hekinbob?

Some might say that he’s just Nathan Florence surfing on his knees while executing praying mantis-like arm motions. Autocorrect even goes so far as to suggest that his legal name is actually Hiking Bob, a person who lives for the outdoors and cargo shorts.

I believe, however, that Hekinbob represents much more. He’s a beacon of spiritual conquest that stands for nothing and no one. He doesn’t give a hek, or frick, and certainly not two shits on one stick.

Nathan Florence has a new fin that he seems rather eager to try out. While it was designed for bigger waves, Hekinbob decided to test it out during a mild swell at Rockies, alongside brothers Ivan and John John.
