Tandem Boogie Lands A Deal On Shark Tank
A San Clemente family scored a $100,000 investment.
The well-known ABC series “Shark Tank” lets people pitch their wild creations to potential investors. A San Clemente-based company called Tandem Boogie not only made it onto the show but also received a $100,000 investment in exchange for a 30% stake in the company.
According to the Orange County Register:
The family got to talk about their background and what roles they each have in the business, which had already raised Kickstarter funds of upward $30,000 to make the first few hundred boards.
The Tandem Boogie is exactly what it sounds like. An inflatable boogie board, big enough for two people. Its dimensions are at 50-inches long by 33-inches wide. Don’t even ask about liters; I’m sure it’s enough.
Hey Mikey C, tandem joyride?
