New Vans Surf Capsule Comes With A Personal Touch
Ainara Aymat, Leila Hurst, and Karina Rozunko curate a laid back collection.
Three of Vans’ surfers – Ainara Aymat, Leila Hurst, and Karina Rozunko —have pieced together a cozy yet detailed collection of essential clothing.
“I really wanted to create something that I would wear on a day-to-day basis – something comfortable, easy but with a nod to street style,” says Ainara of the collection. “I was super excited by the boots – they’re so comfortable, I never want to take them off! The shoot in Fuerteventura was even better than I thought – it was an amazing experience to see my own pieces and to bring my ideas to life.”
According to Vans:
Key pieces include Ainara’s chino pant in black – a high-waisted, straight leg fit, with pleat detail and snake embroidery on the waistband. Leila’s key look features an oversized denim jacket with a workwear inspired vibe, including her personalized palm tree logo. And Karina’s look is centered around a warm picante colorway which can be found on the Karina scoop tank – a simple cotton jersey – as well as the Cord Backpack.
Additional apparel and accessories from the collection include the Ainara cord woven boxy fit top and the Leila pin tuck denim short, which paired with her denim jacket makes for the perfect coordinated set. Elevated basics such as the Surf Supply half zip fleece, Surf Supply crew tee, slip dress and bucket hat are also featured in this well-rounded collection.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in a pair of those Colfax boots. I might have to pull the trigger and order two sizes up from my usual number.
