New Surf Vlog With A Unique Twist
Harley Walters vlogs against the grain.
Harley Walters of Angourie, New South Wales, has kicked off a new surf vlog that challenges the typical mold. The 14-year-old is the descendant of late-90s shredder Jeremy Walters and has an old school style to prove it.
While the majority of today’s youth has developed a habit of grabbing stock EPS contraptions off the racks, Harley goes against the grain. Having a family tree of surf fiends has provided the teen with access to boards almost twice his age. Grandpop’s 40-year-old quad and dad’s heavily-rockered Webber are some of the boards Harley has managed to snag so far.
The young Walters cub has also proved capable of producing original content on his surf vlog. Secretly recording a conversation with a cellphone in his pocket, the savvy young cat captures a genuine reaction from Pops. We are enlightened with uncut and unfiltered background knowledge on the classic boards. While this tactic may not work going down the road, I’m certain Harley has more tricks to keep us entertained.
According to his Instagram, Walters is currently testing an assortment of boards, all over 20 years old or more. At the same time, grandpa helps him measure the vintage craft’s volume since liters were a foreign language until recent times. The young surfboard scholar wishes to give these boards contemporary scale against modern craft, a study we’re eager to watch pan out.
With only two uploads, Harley’s entry into the depths of surf vlog territory has created an inconceivable splash. We highly recommend hitting the subscribe button sooner than later.
