Kelly Slater Joins Directors Board At Ayahuasca Retreat
It’s no wonder he hasn’t been returning Ashton’s calls.
Kelly Slater has a great number of extra-surfing interests, from cryptocurrency to golf to environmentalism, but this latest one is the most surprising of the bunch. Kelly has joined the board of directors at Rythmia Life Advancement Centre, an ayahuasca retreat located in Playa Avellana, Costa Rica.
According to Big News Network:
Rythmia Life Advancement Center is focused on incorporating plant medicine into metaphysical teachings. The results of its program are spectacular with over 95% of its 9,000 clients reporting a life-changing miracle during their stay. ‘I am so excited to have Kelly Slater on our Board of Directors,’ said Gerard Armond Powell, CEO, Rythmia Life Advancement Center. ‘He is a true champion and friend, and we are blessed to have him.’
After visiting the retreat in late 2018, Kelly had this to say:
“He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.”
Costa Rica in November…an experience I can’t explain and makes no sense to anyone who hasn’t opened themselves to the possibility of things unknown and questions you never knew to ask becoming real. Sometimes being apart from everyone you love for a brief period to experience only your true self, can bring you closer, with more understanding, than a lifetime together ever could. Longing to know more love, less fear, and deeper understanding of life’s purpose in the coming years. Forget New Years reSolutions…better to make lifelong ones! ✌????????????????♂️
Has the DMT molecule been the key to Slater’s longevity as a surfer? If he’s on tour past the age of 80, we’ll have to seriously consider it.
