Is This The Board To Top Off Your Next Indo Quiver?

Hint: It’s not a 6’2 pintail.

As if we needed an excuse to try a new board.

Usually, surfboards that resemble frisbees tend to be great fun when the waves are unexciting, but are often lacking when there’s some spark in the ocean. Every so often, a board comes along and breaks that mold, a la Hypto Krypto.

Enter, Bobby Quad.

While we probably wouldn’t ride the Bobby Quad (or any 5’3) at maxing Kandui Left, we just might be inclined to take it out on a proper day of waves. Between the above clip and our previously posted footage of Charly Quivront, the argument grows in favor of adding the B-Quad to our good wave quiver.

The idea of one-board-to-rule-them-all has infatuated both marketing managers and surf consumers for the last decade, and this is Channel Islands’ newest bid — whether they intended it or not. While we aren’t going to claim the Bobby Quad is the final quiver killing iteration, its versatility cannot be denied.
