HBO Enters The Argument Of Proper Wave Measuring Technique

Intense Trailer for “100 Foot Wave” series leaves Hawaiian viewers  hysterically laughing. 

HBO released the official trailer for an upcoming series, the “100 Foot Wave.” The series follows 53-year-old big wave surfing pioneer Garret McNamara as he searches for the mythical 100-foot wave in Nazare, Portugal. 

Does he ever find it? Does HBO respect the Hawaiian scale of wave measurement? Does dramatic music counteract my belief that big wave surfing is often boring from an at-home spectator standpoint?
