Gallery: Surf100 Flashes The US Open With $100K
Into the belly of the beast we go.
Last night, we made our annual pilgrimage to the US Open of Surfing — a place where the people of surfing and the people of something adjacent gather to drink, dance, and occasionally flip toilets in a mass conglomeration other medias refer to as California surf culture.
This year, we premiered Episode 5 of Surf100, presented by Pacifico — A Game of S.U.R.F — at the Bungalow. Like a high school reunion, the lounge brought together heads from all of the clics: HB TikTokers, surf managers, CT’ers, elite shapers, and Stab High winners. The night began with polite curiosity and finished with a redux of the prom grind train.

Among the attendees was South Carolina’s Cam Richards, who, despite getting eliminated in The Zero Sum Challenge, delivered a charming speech alongside Eithan Osborne — who took a bite out of the $100K, teeth marks and all.
Jacob Wilcox rolled through with Cooly kids Callum Robson and Morgan Cibilic— and managed to stand vertically on his surfboard this morning and advance a heat. Two-time US Open champion Kanoa Igarashi showed up with a local crew, and consumed Surf100 with the intensity of a pro surfer who rides for $3.5 billion golf company.
