France Thumps In Summer!

On the southwest shores of France, August isn’t a month known for thumping swells. For most people, the idea of summer in Hossegor brings thoughts of red wine, long beach days, and maybe a rippable wave here or there. Think Rob Machado, red wetsuit, GoFish. You know the clip.

This year however, the North Atlantic blob-factory appears to have opened ahead of schedule, and a recent swell sent some energy down the European coastline.

Hossegor was full tilt, looking like an all-you-can-eat charcuterie board of tapering visions and sandy pits. Couple beatings too.

Luckily for us, Jeremy Flores and the local contingent were on the scene, and successfully gorged themselves on the banquet of barrels.
