NSW Man Dies After Horrific Shark Attack

On Tuesday morning, a man was killed by a shark while surfing at Tancurry Beach. The victim was in his 50s, and his injuries were too severe for paramedics to keep him alive.

According to news.com.au:

He was in a critical condition after being treated at the scene for a severe injury to his upper right thigh, police said in a statement.

A rescue chopper and several emergency crews were sent to the scene.

Paramedics and officers from Manning Great Lakes Police District performed CPR, but the man died at the beach.

Tuncurry Beach and Forster Main Beach have been closed until further notice. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim’s friends and family.
