Ever Wanted To Work At A Wave Pool?
If you live in Southern California, now’s your chance.
“This job is akin to that of a Tavarua boatman. If you don’t know what that is, it may not be for you,” reads our favorite line in the Palm Spring Surf Club‘s new ‘Surf Patrol’ job offering.
The wave pool, whose prototype has been tested and approved by a variety of pros (see: Mason Ho above), plans to open to open it’s full operation for public use in the fall. It will be the first pool in very close proximity to the heart of California’s surf industry, and we’re pretty damn excited about it.
As for the job, it basically sounds like a surf guiding gig without all the horror stories.
In fact, I’d probably be applying for the job if it didn’t require the ability to “hold down a work schedule even if the waves on the coast are cranking.”
