Dane Reynolds’ Maiden Surf After 10 Stitches To The Dome
Post-concussive cutties never looked so good.
Not long ago, a useless glass-door almost killed Dane Reynolds.

Above however, as part of CH11’s continuing Daily Exports, you can watch the entirety of Dane’s first surf back after the harrowing Mexican fever-dream — color coordinated swim cap and all.
“There was no reason I couldn’t surf, it was just a matter of damage control,” Dane told me after their Out Of The Rafters premiere. “I figured the worst thing that could happen was an infection, so I was super strategic about keeping it clean. It’s surprisingly difficult to find a swim cap in Mexico. We went to a couple different grocery stores, and the first two were strikeouts. Then when we found them, I bought four, because I didn’t know if I’d be losing them. The first surf, everybody thought I was trying to be silly, and I didn’t want to explain myself, so I just tried to pretend I wasn’t looking super weird.”
According to VOIT swimwear’s website, their swim caps “guarantee greater impermeability” and “are truly indispensable for achieving full hydrodynamics.”
