Welcome to Episode 2 of The Drop, Stab’s regular(ish?) podcast where we discuss our top stories of the week.

While we came out with a few episodes of The Drop in 2020, we got sidetracked a few jobs near the end of the year that demanded the attention of our inimitable host Danny Johnson (as evidenced by his beginning this pod with “Welcome to The Pick Up”, a most comical Freudian slip).

This week we sit down with Jed Smith who penned not one, but two hit stories in the past seven days. Danny and Jed discuss the recent rejection of the proposed WSL event at Lennox Head as well as Jed’s heartfelt reflections on his early life, and how a role at Stab changed his trajectory for the better.

At 20:40, Danny sits down with Stab founder Sam Mcintosh to discuss 2020’s Rich List. A list previously dominated by surfing’s top endorsement deals, this year Sam found that it was those with creative sources of revenue, such as Barbies, health powders, and pornography who wound up on top.
