If you didn’t already know that, we’ve either done a terrible job of marketing our biggest splash in 2020, or you’ve done an incredible job of burying your head in the sand.
Either way, we wanted to better explain the concept/format/juding/etc. of Surf100, so I hopped on the line with my CUSP co-host, Stace Galbraith (a surf judge by trade), to discuss the myriad minutiae of the event.
Naturally, the conversation veered toward how a viewer might win the custom, three-board …Lost Surfboards quiver. I responded that justice, dedication, and bribery were the three keys to success (my DMs remain open).
Later, we got on the hook with Surf100 star who Ian Crane, who will play the role of darkhorse against his CT pals.
“I lost to Kolohe every weekend for 10 years,” Crane told us. “Of course I wanted to beat him.”
