Yesterday, At Sunset With Matty Wilko
Split between the wind and clouds.
Slipping into winter on the North Shore, the surf’s been average. But, an average day of waves in trunks, between rainbows and trips to Foodland, still probably beats your locale (depending on where that is). There has been no shortage in swell, the weather, however, has failed to complement it. “There have been strong north trade winds,” the reputable photog known as Bosko tells Stab. “There have been days where it’s okay and on the biggest days, Sunset’s been the only option, really.”
Yesterday morning, Sunset had it’s offerings, and Matty Wilko capitalized.
“I just rocked up to sunset and was shooting Leo (Fiorvanti), who called me to come down,” continues Bosko. “It wasn’t good. It was windy and fatty, but every now and then you get a few that had a good section on the inside bowl. There weren’t many, but Wilko just destroyed this one. Conner (Coffin) was out there too and he got a couple good ones as well.”
