Five Perfect Ways To Squander Your Fortune

Stab recommends: material lights to alleviate the dark!

There’s lots of routes to take with the loosely named “Stab Recommends”. We’re gradually expanding on the textiles and hardware that makes our world (see: food in belly, power bills more or less paid on time) go round, and including some of the finer things we’ve come across on our various jaunts across the world (it’s good for that, surfing). So without further ado, we give you a tee, some trunks, a legrope (if it ain’t broke…), a beautiful shop, and a bottle of plonk.

A Non Plain White Tee

It’s been what, ten years(!?) since we started the grey, black, white and navy rotation? Well it’s over, kaput. For those looking to re-introduce themselves into the world of graphics and slogans, here’s a tasteful start.

Dion’s wares are good wares, in here.

Pay Homage To A True Artist/Surfer

Thomas Campbell is one of the few legit artists who regularly plays in the surfing space. He lovingly crafted a bespoke pair of Vissla trunks, and delivered us the timeless line: “I like how kids today wear really fucked up clothes.”What’s not to love?

Own a genuine, wearable piece of surf art here.

A Stylish Japanese Surf Store

Situated in an interesting suburb of Tokyo you mightn’t otherwise stumble upon, Ride Surf and Sport is chic store with as fine a selection of curated surfboards as you’ll find anywhere. Well worth swiping the Suica card, if just to say hi to Koji (owner and good time savant) and witness the spectacle of Pavel, Burch, Christenson and more resting next to each other in the racks. If you’ve got some coin burning a hole in your pocket on your way to the snow, Ride also has some choice snow gear, including a selection of Gentem sticks; that’s how a real gent negotiates the slopes.

Familiarise yourself with Ride Surf and Sport, here.

Heinous, Awesome Kook Cord

Anyone that thinks graphic design is fab and groovy should try deep etching a flat lay of a legrope. But that’s how much we love this grossly purple offering from the Rage boys. Making an unwanted colour your own—marketing genius.

Rep the purple Rage, in here.

Lands Of Wine And Surf

Why is it that areas rich in wine are also rich in surf? West Oz, Nor Cal (shh), Chile… There must be some science there, but man it sure makes for pleasant vacations. In ode to a land of long left points and ample grapes, here’s an inexpensive, quality Chilean pinot: the perfect aprés surf tipple.

Hell grab a few bottles while you’re at it, in here.
