Photolyfe: Beau Hardy
Australian photographer with talents behind lens that’s got us feeling moody.
Welcome back to PhotoLyfe, in which Stab’s favourite photographers answer questions about themselves with their own images. It’s that old picture-tells-a-thousand-words chestnut but with more colour and pop. It’s a way to cut out all the bullshit. It’s like jacking into the main vein of those who supply us with exquisite surf imagery every day. Give thanks by studying each image with a more careful eye than ever!
Meet Beau Hardy. An Australian photographer who spends his time behind lens calculating ways to portray his emotions. The frustrating reality of the working man, so consider photography his release. His methods aren’t sad, dark or soppy, rather he captures raw and mesmerising tones with techniques of long or open exposures. Clearly, always thinking about the light being captured. Beau is aiming to tell a story and you get to decide what it is. “In recent years, I’ve been further introduced to photography.” Beau told Stab. “I like to use photography to clear my head after long hours of sitting at the computer working on other projects. Although photography isn’t my main jam, it bounces well with my design work and further inspires me. In the near future I’ll be self-publishing a zine and website.”
