Watch: Steph Gilmore, Coco Ho, And Leah Dawson Dance Beneath The Midnight Sun

Here’s a nice reprieve from coronavirus hysteria. 

To signify the release of their new fully electric vehicle, Audi enlisted surfing’s one true queen, Stephanie Gilmore, along with worthy heiresses Coco Ho and Leah Dawson, to remind us that surfing is still the most beautiful thing in the world.

In this three-minute piece, the gals share empty, peeling right-handers until a stunning full moon, using additional, artifical light fixtures to bring the piece to life.

Simply put, it’s the most gorgeous piece of surf cinema we’ve seen in some time. 

“Electric Wave” was shot at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch and directed by Daniel Askill–the award-winning director of Sia and Lady Gaga’s famed music videos. It also features an original score from Japanese-born, Malibu-bred composer Aska Matsumiya. 

Whether or not it was influenced by “Electric Blue Heaven”, we’ll let you decide.
