Jacob Willcox’s Leftover Dez Clips Suggest He’s Been Rather Indulgent Lately

These are the “leftovers” Jacob Willcox had lying around after a heavy tube-gorging session in northwest WA. The A-grade cuts have been reserved for a film dropping later this year, and if these scraps are anything to go by, it’s going to be a carnivore’s delight. Plenty of meat on the bone.

This is the first of three upcoming edits he’s rolling out in collaboration with Gage Roads, the WA-based beer brand that also backs Jack Robinson and Brendan Margieson. When we caught up with Jacob, he was in Margaret River alongside Robbo and Chippo, filming a promo for Gage Roads that’ll see them give away the ultimate surf rig: a Toyota Landcruiser Troopy. That’s assuming the crew doesn’t flip it first.

“That V8’s got some serious grunt, and I’m a bit of a bogan at heart,” laughs the CT veteran, who usually tears around in a red Holden Commodore ute when he’s based on the Gold Coast. “Almost spun it out yesterday, but I’m pretty sure the insurance covers that kind of fun.”
