You can almost feel the heat coming off this fiery frame of Clay Pollioni. Summer has arrived in New Jersey and so have the ticket inspectors. Ticket inspectors? Yes indeed. Apparently if you wanna hit the salt in NJ during the summer months, you’ll need to acquire a season pass at a cost of $75 – $120. “Along with summer is the beach badge checkers,” says our photographer Ryan Mack. “Day rates are stupidly high, like $15 a day. Even if you just wanna go surf or use the ocean you won’t be aloud without a pass or the cops will show up. Many times we’ve gotten tickets and almost been arrested for surfing here. So after dealing with whistle-blowing lifeguards yelling at us – me for swimming and Clay for not being in the surfing zone – we finally got some peace right before dark and Clay let out all of his anger in this mean backlit punt into the sky.”
