Here Are Some Of Our Favorite Snapt4 Entires Thus Far
Today’s the day, submit your shit!
As you may or may not have remembered, but as you’ve surely seen on Instagram, today’s the day that aspiring surf film stars must submit their videos to be included in Snapt4.
It’s also National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, but we’ll save that for dessert.
In this post, we wanted to highlight a few of our favorite Snapt4 entries thus far.
Just as a reminder, entries had to be 50-seconds to three-minutes in length and could include new and old surf clips. On August 8th, “voting” (aka commenting) will take place on the @snapt4 IG page to determine the winner (full rules here).
Without further ado, and in no particular order…
Kevin Schulz
The Freak Peak wizard and Stab High runner-up compiled a high-impact edit over an Atmosphere song, which should most certainly be amended if he graduates to the main event.
Anthony Fillingim
Yeah, it’s that Costa Rican kid who scored Kandui during the Mentawai lockdown again. Turns out he’s not all tubes, either.
Jacob Szekely
You didn’t think the self-proclaimed “King of Waco” was gonna sleep on this opportunity, did you? However, the question is not whether Jake’s surfing is good enough to get him in the film—it’s whether or not he can convince all his famous friends to post shout-outs in his favor come gameday.
Lucca Mesinas
If the World Tour was reversed, and Peru’s Lucca Mesinas found a way to make it through the QS, I think he could legitimately finish top-10 with this backhand. But unlike the CT, film parts require diversity. Go right, kid!
Taj Lindblad
Once a cherubic brace-face at Lowers, Taj has blossomed into an athletically-built young man, whose natural power lends a certain oomph to his airs. But come on guy, we want to see you halving waves in the ocean!
Leif Engstrom
Dare we say that this is the most impressive display of aerial surfing ever filmed from a drone? Yes, we dare. But will it be enough to get Leif in the main show?
Kevin Cortez
You really think that if you had offshore, head-high waves 300+ days a year, you’d surf as well as Nicaragua’s Kevin Cortez? Keep telling yourself that.
Icaro Rodrigues
What can’t this guy do, besides surfing a wave over chest high?
Maxime Huscenot
Late entry, but worth every penny!
And now, dessert.
