What Brazilian Stud Just Bagged The Beyonce Of Brazil (And What Does Gabby Medina Think About It?)

Oh, have we got a fiery one coming out of Rio! 

Have you heard of Anitta? The Brazilian Beyonce? Rio’s sexed up funkiera Queeeeeeeen! 

See, Brazil is massive and so are their stars, even if their fame doesn’t touch beyond Latin America—and Anitta is a fucking megastar. Platinum records, massive sell out shows all around South America, a social media following well into the eight-figures (38mil on Instagram!)… 

Need more context? In 2017 she was named the 15th most influential artist in the world by Billboard Magazine (ahead of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Shakira, etc.)

And my oh my does she love surfer boys. Earlier this year, Brazilian tabloids lit fire after the news broke that Anitta and Gabriel Medina had been seen getting more than cozy at Carnival. 

While details around the potential Brazilian Power Couple remained very hazy, it seems the flame was intense but brief. 

According to Brazilian rag Terra [sic translation], “Anitta and Gabriel Medina lived a quick and discreet romance soon after the busy Carnival of Rio by Marquês de Sapucaí in his company and Neymar. A few days after falling in the party, they were caught up together by fan in a mood of romance in a restaurant in São Paulo and even appeared hand in hand behind the scenes of the recording of the video “Onda Diferente”, one of the hit singles in partnership with Ludmilla and rapper Snoop Dogg.”

Well, after a quick tussle with the Champ, it seems Anitta has finally met her match, and from where Gossip Girl is sitting, feet in white Copacabana sand, she couldn’t have chosen any better: Pedro Scooby. 

According to their recent Instagram reveals, the pride of Rio’s Honório Gurgel neighborhood is pretty swept up with the big wave stud, and rightfully so. 

Pedro’s a longtime standout at places like Puerto Escondido, Nazare, etc., and has earned a reputation internationally as not only a total fucking gentleman with a penchant for a proper good time, but also as the ambassador to countless surfers visiting Rio and wanting to get a little closer to the center of its Latin Heat. 

Today, tabloids lit up again. While Gabriel Medina expressed his support for the couple—saying, simply, “I like both”—while Luana Piovani, the famous Brazilian actress, model, and Pedro’s ex-wife (and mother of their three children) responded by posting a trailer to her new TV series about “sexual fantasies” featuring Pedro feeding her strawberries.

Meanwhile, Scooby’s profile just exploded across the world (he now has 1.6 million followers—more than most CT surfers), with Anitta’s adoration granting him more attention than, say, if Scooby had won the U.S. Open next month.
