He wasted no time in wrapping down the face of some kinda fat rights today, way down in Rainbow Bay, and then hucking first into a frontside spin (stomped and finished in the flats). And on his next wave, finishing with the purse drop you see pictured here. “It’s a new year and everyone is excited to be here,” said John shortly after beating Patty Gudauskas and Kai Otton. “I’ve had a pretty good off season. It was short, but I was able to do some different things like travel to New York and recharge and get ready for the year.
