We can’t collectively decide on much in the year of our lord 2024, but one thing that remains universally agreeable is that poorly-made gear, sucks.

Which is the antithesis of the wares produced by the two brands we’re here for today: Slowtide and Seager. Both brands are Californian, both mad about the outdoors and meticulous product, and they’ve unsurprisingly created a neat, utilitarian, durable collaboration.

If you don’t enjoy autumn in California you’ might need to re-evaluate your priorities.

The theme of the range, which ping-pongs between a certified outdoor towel co. and certified outdoor clothing co. is, simply and aptly, a day out in nature – the bespoke camo print, undoubtedly the headliner.

If you look a touch closer, you’ll notice that this isn’t the 10,000th generic take on the camo motif that’s graced every headpiece in the last five years. It’s actually a nod to both brands Californian heritage, with the print reflecting the unique foliage found on California’s deciduous forest floor.

Nice bag, anyone got an id on the trunks too!?

When a tightly sealed, classified, sneak peak flow preview landed at Stab HQ (an eclectic focus group) the Range Boss Tote immediately stood out. It’s nothing short of the perfect carry-all, whether you’re hitting the trails, beach or the, library (!?). On closer inspection, the capsule is littered with gems deserving of a closer look. Let’s examine.

A terrific gift for a beverage-inclined outdoorsy pal.

The aptly named ‘Can Armour‘ is as pretty as it is practical (it’s even got a steel base). The Chum Bucket Hat is a godsend for anyone who likes going outside without burning the extremities of their dome, and if there’s one thing that Slowtide have perfected then it’s making high-end, soft-as-hell towels which disappear from the Stab office as quickly as they arrive. A lineage of which the Seager Stripe Oversized Beach Towel – rich ochre that won’t fade; dense, plush fabrication and natty extras like a hanging loop etc – is undoubtedly one of their best.

Can’t deny the location scout did a hell of a job.

Moving along the racks, the Quick-Dry Picnic Blanket‘s perfect for stuffing in the back of your motor and solving the stress of trying to eat outside, day out after day out. If you’re vibing the bespoke hardwood camo print, then the Travel Towel is a great lightweight tech option. Finally, the anchor piece of the range: the Seager Tapestry Blanket. Which is just a big, fine, damn useful piece of weavery, fit to elevate your pad, van or camping set up alike.

(Tapestry Blanket also, clearly, perfect for grilling Dino-sized steaks).

Whether you’re flush and looking to treat yourself, or looking to hook up a buddy you really love, the new Seager x Slowtide offering is a nice collection of high-quality, useful pieces, set to last.

Grab a gem here.
