Mason Ho and Sheldon Paishon Play Sadistic Hide-N-Seek With A Bed Of Razorblades

The fifth rendition of their ‘Dangerously Fun Surfing’ delivers, again.

“Mason and Sheldon definitely surf the shallowest waves on earth,” Mick Fanning said of the Hawaiian duo’s reef-hopping antics in Through the Doggy Door.

Though the 2022 documentary was much more than a surf film, there were flashes of undeniably advanced surfing in the flick. Namely, Mason and Sheldon’s ability to navigate comically fast tubes and liquid chandeliers in roughly 11 inches of water on a West Side Oahu reef.

Above, is a similar lesson in calculated madness. We’d probably rather take a bomb on the head at Waimea than stumble on one of these runners.

“Those waves are just as gnarly as big, deep ocean waves,” Mick added. “What the boys are surfing over is lava rocks. It’s all jagged. On the tip of all the different edges, it’s like a razor blade. I don’t know how they don’t come away with more injuries, it’s crazy. They’ve got a skill that not many people in the world have.”

The fact that Mason only suffered a blown fin box on his Driver is a win after this session.
