Dane Reynolds Clocks Another Honest Day’s Work In Ventura 

Sure, it would be nice to live in a tropical paradise where perfect sections present themselves over crystal clear water day in and day out. But I believe that surfing’s most rewarding moments come intermittently.

Set waves and barrels are coveted because they are rare. Shifty sandbars and sloppy sections make the proper days with consistent lines and real power that much sweeter. 

I would argue that the Ventura waves shown in the clip above, while lacking the juice Dane Reynolds loves to squeeze, are still important to his psyche as a surfer. Because when the day arrives and the section presents itself, rest assured Dane will too.
