Mason Ho’s the Ripcurl Pro, Portugal Wildcard

We probably could have assumed Mase would be the wildcard for Portugal, but confirmation’s nice. Here at Stab we are quite fond of Mr Ho. He’s Hawaiian royalty, son of Michael Ho, brother to Coco; the shred’s in his blood. The 27 year-young cat’s surfing just oozes fun. His novelty edits make you want to get wet and that’s the whole point now isn’t it? So having him in the singlet for the next event is a pleasurable notion. This is Mase’s fourth CT event and the second this year. He lost out in the third round of bells to Gabs after beating Mick in round one (who went on to win the event). “I just got news about the Portugal event and I’m amping,” Mason told the WSL. “Dad’s super stoked as well. Hope we get some bombing swell and all that other good stuff down there.” The Ripcurl Pro, Portugal starts Oct. 20th.
