I’d Hate To Be A Guinness Within A 20km Radius After This Session
Taz Knight, Russ Bierke and a really, really good wave in Ireland.
Aside from having a really good name Taz Knight also has an interesting story. Originally from North Devon, Taz moved to the Irish town of Bundoran a few years ago and began work on an abandoned off-the-grid property with sea views. As a junior he represented Team GB three times at the ISA World Junior Championships (WJC), once as their team captain.
After a skating injury sustained in 2016 that left his meniscus “flopped over like a calzone pizza”, Taz spent the majority of his time completing physics equations that would make your brain upset in Bristol. He now applies those theoretical formulas to muscling real-life pits – where the rubber meets the road.
Here’s him and Russ Bierke – Australia’s most talented and unassuming threat in big-waves, trading perfect cold-water tubes somewhere in Ireland.
