“My Local Is My Suitcase”
A short film about Jack Freestone by Epokhe.
Jack came home to Tugun recently.
That’s home defined as: a place where the majority of one’s life has been spent. For his kids, it’d be different. They’ve grown up bouncing between Kauai and Oahu. Fortunately that means his kids need never drawl out their “no’s” to the Australian “neeewwwwwrrr”, an irritating developmental milestone that is a language feature (not bug) of kids reared in the Australian public schooling system.
Stab interviewed Jack early last year, touching on his transition to dadhood, life off-tour, his new-ish affinity for quirky shapes and co-producing content with his wife, Alana Blanchard for their Youtube channel (129K subs).
You can read those words here (but wait!).
This Kai Neville Epokhe edit for his new ‘Reprise’ glasses does all the work those words do, but in half the time and with a much prettier and engaging composition.
