The pirate rock star theme was a good one to pick, as every second person in Bondi dresses like a pirate or a rockstar, so the theme was taken on graciously and effortlessly. Anchor tats and ripped/distressed ensembles were everywhere and are really just a regular part of everyone’s wardrobe.
Two live acts were on offer, one being Cheyenne Tozzi’s live act, which I was super impressed with. Not just a pretty face at all. She rocked pretty hard and did a mental White Stripes impression on Seven Nation Army. Also, Van She played and they had every rocker and pirate in the place jumping. It was really really fun.
It’s pretty much impossible not to have an awesome time on the harbour when the weather is hot and sunny and the cocktails are flowing. Sydney is the most beautiful city in the world, I think. To be able to slay then jump on a boat (an expensive but quick cab ride away, #cabsaresofuckingexpensive) and sightsee some of the world’s most expensive real estate and national land marks, is awesome.
When you hop on a party boat you are taking on a solid commitment. There is no escape. I was happy to get off the boat but was anxious to leave at all. I had a hell time. Thanks to Shane Moran for as per usual making good times happen.
