What’s the board company talking about? A while back, Dane Reynolds released his new surfboard, the Neck Beard. Would it be as popular, or as springy as the Dumpster Diver, we wondered? Most noticeable straight off the line was the abrupt, sawn-off tail. But now, via a bunch of scribbled ideas, Dane and Channel Islands have developed a softer alternative to the sawn-off.
“Dane got bored of his original square tail and started doodling a more rounded version,” the company continues on their site. “This is the result. He said it worked sick and felt really forgiving so we made it available to all of you. We are offering it as a full five fin set up option, but Dane has been preferring the thruster set up lately.”
