Jack Lynch And The Kind Of Point Waves You’d Travel The World For
Also featuring: Marquee Moon and boards of various length.
Pointbreaks, especially those with enough juice to pipe, allow for the most enjoyable surfing. Sure, wedges can be unpredictable and exciting, punchy sand-bottoms can throw sections and ledges gift us with the wildest of caverns but you can’t go past a firing pointbreak for that classic, aesthetically pleasing form of wave riding. Jack Lynch, the star of the show in the above reel, agrees with this sentiment. He’s got a full quiver of assorted foam shapes that are all designed for this kind of surfing, and knows how to get the most out of them. If you’ve ever tried to switch from a thruster to a twin, then to a single finned craft and back again, you’ll know the extent to which it’ll test your nerve. Kudos to Mr Lynch who seems to switch it up and still make it look easy.
