Jared Bono Brings Big Apple Steeze In ‘INDO DREAMS’

The New York screwfoot styles through left after left after left.

New York surfing isn’t a cliche, just ask any former fan of the ASP (or tennis tour, depending who you’re speaking with), who lucked into extremely fun surf for their 2011 event as apart of the tour’s metropolitan swing.

While some spots can absolutely fire come autumn, the fact of the matter is that it’s really fucking flat in the summer. East Coasters have been dealing with this age old conundrum for decades, and The 19 year old Montauk native, Jared Bono, who is currently attending college/perfecting his backhand in Santa Barbara, decided to switch direction this season.

He rubbed his pretty pennies together, pulled the trigger and traveled some 26 hours from JFK to DPS, where he had the pleasure of scoring proper swells at Kandui and Greenbush. You can see the experience dropping over the ledge at some of the Empire State’s finer beach breaks as he threads tube after tube with ease. Check out the right coaster in his latest edit ‘INDO DREAMS’ above, and watch a man disappear at 2:07.
