Watch: 20-ish Minutes Of 36 Good Surfers In Good Waves
The Quik Fest recap edit has landed.
Little remains to be said about the Quiksilver Festival.
Non-verbal communication between those who attended and those who didn’t was conducted mostly via photos and videos in group chats. The content exchanged could be filed under one of two categories: surfing, partying.
It may sound reductive, even simplistic, but that’s usually how the best moments and relationships tend to be created in a context such as this, arguably the biggest invitational surf event of our time.
Many have voiced their desire for a live webcast. But this year’s festival consisted of nearly 30 hours of surfing. Despite the quality of the waves and the depth of the draw, that would have been quite a commitment on both the production and viewing side of the equation. So, we employed a few legs and had them running around the site to document the surfing, conversations with the surfers, and a lot of what happens behind the scenes.

They had a very hard week labouring under the scorching late summer sun and squeezed among thousands of bodies while being subjected to improper decibel levels.
Despite the dire conditions, their work ended up on our socials and is now buried thanks to an algorithm that does not sleep. So, how about something more evergreen? The full recap edit, hosted above, is the definitive audiovisual companion piece to an event that once again exceeded expectations.
Alongside the best moments in the water and the exploration of the nocturnal opportunities afforded by the beach town of Hossegor, Jeremy Flores pulled up a chair, allowed Stab onto his lawn, and spoke from the heart about the event he did so much to instigate, and has helped keep recurring year after year since 2023.
Bon app.
