There Are Many Reasons To Get Out Of California, Untapped Waves Is One
Noah Waggy and Timmy Reyes a trip to the Tasman in “Southern Frontier”.
I’ve only been to California once, and while I was there I barely left LA, but if I extrapolate that experience to the remainder of the enormous state, and I can understand why you would want to get out.
While that’s a wholly inaccurate representation of California – particularly Northern California which I’ve heard is the nicer half – who doesn’t want to spread their wings every so often and surf somewhere else. In this case a place south of the equator known for its cold conditions and seemingly endless winter swells.
In this first instalment of O’Neill’s Strike Mission, Noah Wegrich and Timmy Reyes head south and score waves for a few days – just the two of them with a couple lensmen – while camping, fishing, and all the usual stuff you do searching in a new spot.
The waves may not have been pumping, but there was ample swell, a severe lack of crowds, and little to complain about other than being occasionally cold.
