Win tickets to Drift (a new film about surfing)

Every decade, like clockwork, Hollywood takes a coupla unsuccessful swings at creating a blockbuster around surfing, like Blue Crush, In God’s Hands, Soul Surfer, Point Break, or more recently, Chasing Mavericks (well, maybe Point Break wasn’t so unsuccessful – it kinda ruled.) But, this ain’t Hollywood! Drift is a new Australian film set in the raw, 70s West Oz landscape. Margaret River, actually. Hoping to dodge careers in factory work or crime, two bros start making wetsuits and boards outta their backyard. And, turning a profit, which is when a biker gang comes knocking to push up on their game. JB, an infamous filmmaker (played by Sam Worthington with excellent wig), rolls into town with a gal named Lani. Trouble escalates, drama ensues, self-realisations are made. And don’t forget that surf action. Rick Rifici was even a DOP on water cam! The film hits cinemas May 2. You can find out more about the movie here. Australian-based reader?
